I am Taro Koyanagi, in charge of the Learning Catchball. I was manager at Japanese language school in Tokyo and started up this service to help people to learn Japanese.

LCB Japanese language teachers

• Japanese teachers registered on LCB(Learning Catchball) are all native Japanese speakers and certified teachers.

Free trial lesson

• Please submit the application for a free trial lesson at the bottom of this page. After we receive your application, we will arrange an online Japanese teacher and a free trial lesson for you.

• 1 on 1 online lesson can focus on what you like to learn, so please tell us what you like to learn on the application form.

• You can select
  JLPT N5 or N4 or N3 or N2 or N1 level lesson
  male or female Japanese teacher.
  how many lessons a month you will take
  lesson time between 7:00 and 22:00 .
  ※1 on 1 online lessons are available both weekdays and weekends(Japan time).

• We are offering learning materials for self-study. If you like, please select 『Yes, I like』on the application form. Then we will send you the sample page for learning materials.

• Please note that these learning materials are not related to 1 on 1 online Japanese lessons. This is for self-study.

Application for a free trial lesson for 1 on 1 online lesson

StepⅠ:Introduction

• After we receive your application, we will ask you when you like to take the free trial lesson and introduce you online certified Japanese teacher who meets your requests.

• If you are OK with the teacher, we will exchange your email address with the teacher's email address and let the teacher guide you to the Zoom information for the trial lesson.

StepⅡ:Trial lesson

• In the trial lesson, the teacher suggests a lesson plan for you. You can talk about it with the teacher and make some requests to your teacher if needed.

StepⅢ:Confirm

• After the free trial lesson, we will ask you if you like to apply for the teacher's regular lesson or not.

• After the free trial lesson
  If you decide to sign up for the teacher's regular lesson ⇒Please go to the Step Ⅳ and make a payment(lesson fee)
  If you decide not to sign up ⇒You don't need to pay lesson fee.

• ※Textbooks fee is not included above

StepⅣ:Payment

• ※Please make a payment(tuition for a month) to your online Japanese teacher. You can select bank transfer or credit card or paypal.
  ※ If you make the payment through paypal, there's a 5% surcharge

• Basically you are requested to pay tuition monthly.
